You will see list building nearly every day of your life but many of you do not realize it. The company’s gather your information theoretic giveaway events, priced at events, raffle drawings and newsletters.
The reason for this end by you yourself should start building your own list is it gives you access to thousands of people you can mail and offer to with a click of a button. This can result in high commissions or even traffic to a website who are launching. It is a quick way and low-cost method to building your business. Your list should be valued as your biggest asset.
There are many different methods to build your list however many of them are very expensive. One of the programs I use our site called traffic exchanges. A traffic exchange is a simple website that is free to join, once you log in you are able to visit other websites in exchange for them to visit yours. It is a simple way to gain exposure and build your opt in list.
Other methods that you can use are what are called article marketing, giveaway events and TV partnerships. These methods are some of the lowest cost I have found and produced the best results. You can also use search engine on to my station or pay per click such as Google’s AdWords. These methods can be expensive though if not done correctly you need to research and understand how to use them to maximize your results.

This is accomplished by having a list of people in order to offer your opportunity or products. People must opt in (choose) to be on your list. What makes people want to opt in to your list? You know that what you are offering is wonderful but that isn’t sufficient, so you have discovered.
One fundamental element in the list building process is that you must be remarkable!
Master marketer and best-selling author Seth Godin says “You’re either remarkable or invisible. Make your choice.”
You can be taught how to be remarkable and, once learned, it is easy for people to perceive that you have the knowledge to assist them in becoming successful by following your lead.
The key marketing phrase of today is attraction marketing and, although every internet and network marketing individual understands the importance of the phrase, they fail to attract prospects because this piece of the puzzle eludes them. People subscribe to a canned marketing system that teaches the value of attraction marketing. They advertise that they are coaches but, for most, this tactic fails them. Why? Saying that you are a coach and a leader is not enough. It is easy to spot a follower when thousands of people are sending out the exact same e-mail; using the exact same tactics as everyone else professing to be a coach.
Attraction marketing is not a new concept. Marketing campaigns for traditional, brick and mortar businesses are designed to brand the organization as leaders in their fields. The reason that traditional businesses brand themselves as experts is to bring customers to their doors. The sole purpose of attraction marketing on the internet is to build as list of people; in order to market your product or business opportunity.
This is the equivalent of traditional businesses driving traffic to their doors.
I need to relate a story to you that demonstrates the importance of being a leader; not just telling people and hoping that some one believes you. Years ago, I advertised some furniture for sale in a local paper. A woman responded to the advertisement and, when she came to my home to inspect the furniture, I noted that she was a beautiful woman. However, she was a big woman. When she decided to make the purchase, we began to chat about the purpose of purchasing the furniture. She, proudly, stated that she was the president of a new gym opening in the area. I had no confidence in her ability to provide me with the guidance to become fit and, therefore, had no desire to follow her and become her customer. However, if she had said that she was opening a beauty salon, I would have gladly frequented her salon.
People follow leaders because they perceive that the leader has the ability to assist them in attaining their goals.

Building a contact list can be as easy or complicated as you wish. But why make it more difficult than it needs to be? Use the techniques below to increase your subscription and retention rate and build a solid contact list.
Focus On Your Customers. Use your email list to learn more about your customers. An email list is not one-way street. Even if you use your list primary to send out a newsletter always, give your readers a way to contact you.
List a special “editor” email and encourage people to write you with any comments that may have about the latest newsletter issue.
Create a survey about a hot topic that your newsletter relates too. Read the headlines in industry bulletins and then ask your readers to email you back with their opinions.
Make a questionnaire.?Lots of people love sharing their ideas with others, especially if they feel they are helping a group of like-minded people.
Take a poll. Use your newsletter to take an “exit poll” on some product or service that you sell. Publish the results on your website at a later date.
Send out “Product Updates” or “How-to Guides” on products or services to former customers.?Offer discount coupons to new products or services.
Ask “what did we do wrong” questions. Encourage your readers to give you and your business improvement tips. Provide a simple contact form for people to reply anonymously.
Provide quality content in your newsletter that is not readily available elsewhere.
Create a community. People love belonging to groups of like-minded individuals who understand what their goal is.
Answer questions. Use your surveys and questionnaires to learn what is confusing to your readers and then work to find the answers to their questions.?Solve problems. Use your newsletter to provide useful how-to information for your readers.
Vary content formats. Although your newsletter is an email, place links inside to videos, podcasts or PDF files on your website.
Give away something free. Although your readers are already signed up, reward them by offering free products or services a couple times a years. Remember, Oprah gave away a few free cars once to her studio audience and now there is a waiting list that is years long.
Create exclusive elearning courses for your readers. Use the information you have gleamed from your readers to create an elearning course that provides answers and solutions for a common problem in greater detail. Encourage them to forward these special issues with business associates.

List Building – My List is Like an ATM Machine

Capture their email address using a lead capture form, or a squeeze page, so that you can market to them over and over again.
This is what online marketers call ‘lead capture’ and ‘list building’. They build a list of interested prospects.
Why interested, you may ask?
Interested, because they have chosen to subscribe (or ‘opt-in’ to use the internet marketing term) to your eNewsletter. They have requested to receive your information via emails. They are interested in seeing and receiving your messages.
A list of interested people can be a valuable thing. It’s a marketer’s dream. These are people that have opted into your list, who have come to you. No more chasing down Aunt Sally!
Your list becomes your best friend. Treat your prospects well. Tread lightly, and
add VALUE. Or… you’ll lose them.
I know of one “guru” marketer that calls his list an ATM machine. His list has gotten so big, and powerful, that all he has to do is send out one broadcast email with a product promotion, and the dollars start rolling in.

You can pre-load it with emails that you’ve written for communicating with your list.
And you can send out ‘broadcast’ emails any time you feel like it. I like to send broadcast emails for time-sensitive news, such as when I annouce our weekly team training calls each Tuesday night.

So now that you have the mechanics of list building, what can you do to monetize your list.
Well, the first and obvious answer is to sell to your list. Well, what do you sell?
I have seen many ebooks teaching (and I have, too) to find some affiliate products and promote them to your list. And I also teach (as do others) that you should created your own products which you can promote to your list.
So, in short, the formula for building your list is: find your niche, build a squeeze page, drive traffic to the squeeze page, and write an email campaign promoting either your own products or affiliate products.
And the formula for monetizing your list is: build a relationship with your list so that they trust your recommendations, and send your list to affiliate sales pages or to your own sales page.
But in this book, I want to go deeper than that. I want to think about how to really build a big list in a niche area, and how to really monetize that list, to really squeeze all available revenue out of that list.
How can you best build a big list? And I am talking conceptually here, not individual steps, as I have already covered the steps here.
